The application for the 2026 KHOP Summer Session has now closed. We anticipate that decisions will be emailed to applicants no later than Friday, May 22, 2026.
The KHOP Summer Session is designed to equip high potential undergraduate students from underrepresented communities with the skills necessary to excel in the law school admissions process, while also introducing students to current law students, lawyers and faculty members at UC Davis School of Law. The no-cost program consists of a series of full-day Saturday presentations and workshops, and a Friday visit to a trial or appellate courtroom, during the summer.
KHOP Summer Session participants:
- Attend workshops on pre-law preparation and law school admissions
- Attend presentations and panels featuring UC Davis law school professors, alumni attorneys and law students
- Participate in individual pre-law advising with School of Law Admissions Staff to develop law school admission action plans
- Spend a day visiting a trial or appellate court to observe live court proceedings
The 2026 KHOP Summer Session will take place live and in person at King Hall on June 27, July 11, July 17, July 18, and July 25, 2026. Please note that KHOP is not a residential program, and neither a stipend nor housing is provided. Most program participants tend to live within driving distance of Davis, California while they are participating in the program. There is no remote option to participate in KHOP.
