Professor Johnson Appointed to AALS National Task Force

Professor Emeritus Kevin R. Johnson has been appointed to the National Task Force on the Regulation of American Legal Education. The Association of American Law Schools initiative brings together a distinguished group of judges, legal educators, lawyers, and higher education leaders who will examine the future of law school accreditation and pathways to bar admission in the United States.

Kevin R. Johnson is a distinguished professor of law emeritus, director of the Aoki Center for Critical Race and Nation Studies and professor emeritus of Chicana/o studies at UC Davis. He served as dean of UC Davis Law from 2008 to 2024. Johnson is an internationally recognized scholar in the fields of immigration law and policy, refugee law and civil rights.
