Transcript

My name is Andrew Timothy. I was born and raised in Jakarta, Indonesia.

What are your plans after graduation?

I’m planning to go back to Indonesia and work as a corporate lawyer. Especially in the field of business or maybe construction law.

Why did you choose to come to UC Davis School of Law?

Well, UC Davis School of Law is one of the best law schools here in the U.S. And it's part of the UC system.

What is it like attending school in Davis, California?

And also the Davis city, itself, is awesome. It's quiet, it's safe. And the neighbors – it's just fun. I love the city. And the weather in California, it's the best. The environment of the study here is awesome.

What did you expect law school to be like and what was the reality?

The vibes in the class. But I was expecting that maybe it was going to be individual studies here, but [the students here are] very helpful. Even though I am an international student, there's a lot of American students here. They help me. Even though there's a debate in the class, our professor, our lecturer, will guide us. So, it just awesome – the discussion, the debate...it’s just good.

What is your advice for incoming students?

My advice for incoming students, just be inquisitive, just have fun.

A lot of happy things are going to be here in King Hall. The weather is nice, the professors are nice, and the friends are awesome. The food is awesome. The coffee is awesome. So just come here!
