Visiting Lecturer George Demos to Lead Enforcement Division for Accounting Oversight Board
The Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) has named UC Davis Law Visiting Lecturer George G. Demos as director of its Division of Enforcement and Investigations. He will manage the PCAOB’s investigations and enforcement of violations of its rules, professional standards, and other securities regulations.
Previously, Demos was a litigation partner at DLA Piper LLP, where he represented companies under federal and state investigation and conducted internal corporate reviews. He also formerly served as senior counsel at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s Division of Enforcement, where he led corporate fraud investigations.
