Monterey Women Lawyers Host Professor Larson's Talk on Abortion Rights

Professor Carlton F.W. Larson addressed “The Past and Future of Abortion Rights in America” in a Sept. 22 virtual event hosted by the Monterey County Women Lawyers Association.

Larson discussed the landmark cases Roe v. Wade and Planned Parenthood v. Casey and addressed the U.S. Supreme Court’s June decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization that reversed Roe, and its implications for the future or reproductive and other rights. 

Carlton Larson's research interests focus on constitutional law and legal history. One of the nation’s leading authorities on the law of treason, Professor Larson is the author of the ABA Silver Gavel Award finalist books The Trials of Allegiance: Treason, Juries, and the American Revolution (Oxford University Press, 2019) and On Treason: A Citizen’s Guide to the Law (Ecco/HarperCollins, 2020).
