Professor Soucek Addresses Academic Freedom in UC Berkeley Summer Series

Professor Brian Soucek was a panelist on June 22 in the Summer Speaker Series presented by UC Berkeley’s Center for Studies in Higher Education. “Is There Academic Freedom in an Online World?” was the topic for this session, moderated by Robert C. May, CSHE Affiliated Faculty and Distinguished Professor Emeritus of Philosophy and Linguistics, UC Davis. View the video.

Professor Soucek’s primary teaching and research interests are antidiscrimination law, civil procedure, constitutional law, and refugee/asylum law. He holds a J.D. from Yale Law School and a Ph.D. from Columbia University. He has clerked for U.S. District Court Judge Mark R. Kravitz in Connecticut, and Judge Guido Calabresi of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
