Sacramento Bee Honors Professor Pérez as a 2026 'Change Maker'

The Sacramento Bee has honored Professor Amagda Pérez as one of its 2026 Change Makers. 

In partnership with Nehemiah Leaders Programs, the Bee is spotlighting 60 “innovative and diverse people who are shifting our region’s landscape.”

The media outlet profiled Pérez, co-director of the Immigration Law Clinic. executive director of the California Rural Legal Assistance Foundation and a UC Davis Law alum from the Class of 1991, in a story published on Aug. 21.

Pérez and the rest of the 2026 Change Makers class will be honored at a gala on Tuesday, Oct. 13 in Sacramento.
