King Hall’s State and Federal Tax Externship allows students to earn academic credit in the fall and spring semesters with federal and state governmental tax agencies. Typical assignments include legal research, analysis and writing, and observation of administrative appeals hearings when possible.
All externships have two components: (1) Field supervisors oversee assignments and provide feedback for students to build their legal skills and knowledge, and (2) students complete professional development assignments under the supervision of a King Hall faculty advisor. Approved placements may be in-person, hybrid or remote.
