Aoki Center Event with Professor Irons of UCSD

On Tuesday Professor Emeritus Peter Irons of UC San Diego spoke on reform of the U.S. Supreme Court in a lecture sponsored by the Aoki Center on Critical Race and Nation Studies. Professor Jack Chin invited Professor Irons, who is an expert on constitutional law and law and society.

Arguing that the current Supreme Court has lost any pretense of judicial impartiality and independence, Professor Irons illuminated the Court’s loss of legitimacy through a historical lens, showing how this Court is different from those in the past.
