Chief Justice Tani Cantil-Sakauye Speaks at FLSA Event

Tani Cantil-Sakauye

The Filipino Law Students Association hosted a very special event last week. The Chief Justice of California, Tani Cantil-Sakauye ‘84, spoke at UC Davis School of Law. She spoke about her journey to King Hall from a farm worker family. She spoke of how Alberto Balingit '75 and Derek Ledda '79, two alums, recruited her. Her law school community was special to her and, in her view, one of the best choices she made in her life.

The Chief Justice spoke highly of her law school experience and her move to a career in the law — and all the way to the California Supreme Court.

It was a special treat to hear from the Chief Justice!
