KHLF Auction

This past weekend, The King Hall Legal Foundation (KHLF), which funds law student public interest fellowships, returned to the elegant in-person auction format. Held in the ARC Ballroom, which was festively decorated, students welcomed the community to an auction of wonderful items, including tea with Senior Associate Dean Afra Afsharipour, golf with golf pros Professors Clay Tanaka and Bob Miller, and much more.
Professors Karrigan Börk and Luke Fadem were the faculty auctioneers. Dressed in formal evening-ware, the professors did their very best to raise money for a very good cause.
KHLF is a student-run, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that raises funds to provide UC Davis School of Law students with grants to work in public interest during the summer.
KHLF stands for the proposition that professional opportunities should be accessible to everyone regardless of wealth, but often unpaid work is only an option for those with a financial safety net. Auction proceeds directly support unpaid work that often addresses racial justice, housing, education, women's and LGBTQ+ rights, the environment, immigration, the needs of those without access to adequate legal representation, and much more.
Fun was had by all in a successful evening!
