King Hall Alumni Board Meeting

One of the pleasures that I have as Dean of UC Davis School of Law is to work with the King Hall Alumni Association Board of Directors . They are a great group of dedicated, energetic, and enthusiastic alums who devote time to helping faculty, students, staff, and fellow graduates of King Hall. The board members live all over the state, and they travel to Davis to meet, hear the good word about King Hall, and discuss what they can do to help the school.

This past Saturday, January 27, we met on a crisp and sunny Davis day. Kim Lucia ’09 (pictured above), the current president, called the board to order. I provided some updates about the School of Law, including news on faculty achievements, the 2019 Commencement ceremony, graduate employment, bar passage, reunions, and more. After a meeting of the whole group, the various board subcommittees met. I understand that the Development Committee has some big ideas on how to help the School of Law with its fundraising efforts.

After a productive meeting, a number of the alumni board members joined me, faculty, students, and others at the UC Davis men's and women's basketball doubleheader. And, just as planned, the Aggies won both games.
