Family Honors Celestial Summer Dove Cassman '04 While Helping Others

 

Thirteen years after starting a UC Davis Law scholarship, Ken and Susie Cassman remain excited about its mission – and cherish the memory of the person who inspired it.

Celestial Summer Dove Cassman ’04, known as “Dove” to her family, “was always interested in the vulnerable and the underserved” and in trying to right inequities, her father said during a recent visit to King Hall with his wife.

Civil Rights Clinic Students Max Kohn, Kiar Rivers Argue Before Ninth Circuit

 

On March 4, law students Max Kohn ’26 and Kiar Rivers ’26 argued on behalf of a Civil Rights Clinic client before a three-judge panel of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit in San Francisco. The panel was comprised of Ninth Circuit Judges Milan D. Smith Jr. and Ryan Nelson, and Brian Morris, the Chief Judge of the District of Montana, sitting by designation.

Intraschool Negotiations Competition Draws 28 Teams

The King Hall Negotiations Team hosted 28 teams of highly motivated first-year UC Davis Law students on Feb. 28 at the 18th annual Intraschool Negotiations Competition.
