Baggish Comments on Clerkships for ABA Journal
Mindy Baggish, UC Davis School of Law's Director of Career Services, commented for the ABA Journal increased popularity of judicial clerkships for law students and recent graduates given the difficult job market.
The challenging economy has meant more graduates applying for clerkships at a time when fewer positions are available, the article reports. Baggish states that she has not seen clerkship cutbacks but definitely has seen more students and recent alumni applying. "The economy is driving it," she states, adding that "clerkships are a great opportunity."
