Blog Highlights Professor Sarkar's Article 'Capital Migration'

The TaxProf Blog has highlighted Professor Shayak Sarkar’s forthcoming UC Davis Law Review article “Capital Migration.”

Money moves, while migrants languish,” Sarkar writes in the abstract. “If humans face borders, capital and corporations are purportedly “borderless.” Yet the question of what renders capital and entities ‘foreign’ remains.  This article first unpacks foreign capital’s migration. It parses capital and corporate migration’s intersection with, and similarities to, human migration.”

Shayak Sarkar's scholarship addresses the structure and legal regulation of inequality. His substantive interests lie in financial regulation, employment law, immigration, and taxation.
