King Hall Negotiations Team Hosts Successful Intraschool Competition

The King Hall Negotiations Team hosted the 9th Annual Intraschool Negotiations Competition on February 6, with 26 student teams competing before more than two dozen alumni judges and other friends of King Hall.  Emerging as winners of the competition were the teams of Amanda Saunders '18 & Emily Roberts '18 and Kim Massih '18 & Emily Lahl '18.  Finalists included the teams of John Miller '17 & Kareem Aref '17 and Erika Budrovich '18 & Danielle Lauber '18.

The King Hall Negotiations Team hosts the Intraschool Competition each year to give interested students the opportunity to gain exposure and practice in deal-making and settlement negotiations as well as to recognize excellence in negotiation skills. The results of the competition are used to select the following year's team.  The competitions also provide an opportunity for students to network with current practitioners, alumni, and judges.

The King Hall Negotiations Board said that thanks were due to the judges who devoted their Saturday to providing substantial feedback to students, contributing to a valuable educational experience. The Board also thanked the Dean's Office for its generous financial support, and Dean Kevin R. Johnson for greeting guests the morning of the event. Special thanks also go to Professor Donna Shestowsky, who served as Faculty Advisor, Law Students Association President Samantha Mandell '16, who also heads the King Hall Negotiations Team, and King Hall staff who contributed to the organizational success of the competition.
