New Endowment Fund Honors Professor Hap Dunning
Phil Satre ’75 and his wife, Jennifer Satre, have made a $50,000 leadership gift to establish the Harrison “Hap” Dunning Endowment Fund to honor Dunning, a beloved UC Davis Law professor emeritus who passed away earlier this year.
The fund will support King Hall’s outstanding environmental law program, which Dunning helped establish. It will provide general support for the California Environmental Law and Policy Center, fund research fellows and speakers/symposia, and provide stipends for summer fellowships in environmental law, among other purposes.
The Class of 1975 paid special tribute to Dunning during its 50-year class reunion in October. Satre also received the Distinguished Alum Award at reunions. Other members of the class already have pledged support to the fund, which is open to all.
