Pamela Wu Named Member of the Year by Asian American Journalists Association
UC Davis School of Law Director of Marketing and Communications Pamela Wu was named Member of the Year by the Asian American Journalists Association (AAJA) at its annual convention August 12-15 in San Francisco.
AAJA is an educational and professional organization at the forefront of diversity and change in the journalism industry, with more than 1,600 members across the United States and Asia. The AAJA Member of the Year award recognizes excellence in service to the journalism industry and the organization. Wu serves on AAJA's national board and is co-director of its Media Institute program.
At UC Davis School of Law, Wu is responsible for strategic communications in marketing, media relations, social media, and website development. She joined King Hall in 2009, after more than a decade as a television news anchor and reporter. She was nominated for an Emmy award for her work as host of the cultural affairs program, "KCRA 3 Common Ground," and received the Unity Award in Media for political reporting. She continues her work in journalism as the substitute host for Insight, the daily public affairs program on Capital Public Radio.
