Professor Feeney Comments on Sacramento DA's Office for Bee

Professor Floyd Feeney commented on the efficiency of the Sacramento County District Attorney's Office for an article profiling District Attorney Jan Scully in the Sacramento Bee.  Professor Feeney, who has studied district attorneys offices in a wide range of cities including Oakland; Los Angeles; Jacksonville, Florida; and Augsburg, Germany, praised the orderliness of Scully's office.

"My sense is that it's a well-organized, well-run office, that they have a lot of good people and they seem to be doing things in a reasonable way," Professor Feeney said. "On some of the more political issues, Jan Scully is more hard-nosed, but that doesn't affect the daily work of the office."

Floyd Feeney is the Homer G. and Ann Berryhill Angelo Professor of Law for International Legal and Communication Studies at the UC Davis School of Law and an internationally recognized authority on international and comparative law.
