Professor Imwinkelried Contributes to Australian Criminal Justice Study

The South Australian Law Reform Institute recently studied the steps that can be taken to provide fairer treatment to people with disabilities if they become involved in the criminal justice system as victims, witnesses, and accused.

The institute included a comparative law analysis as part of its study and asked Professor Emeritus Ed Imwinkelried to provide the American perspective. He submitted a written report to the institute. The institute included Imwinkelried’s report when it released its study, “Providing a Voice to the Vulnerable: A Study of Communication Assistance in South Australia,” in September.

Professor Imwinkelried is a world-renowned evidence expert who has published extensively in the field.
