Professor Joh Launches '99% Invisible Breakdown: The Constitution' Podcast

Professor Elizabeth Joh and longtime podcasting partner Roman Mars are collaborating on the second season of Mars’ The 99% Invisible Breakdown podcast. Their monthly The 99% Invisible Breakdown: The Constitution podcast examines all 7,591 words of the U.S. Constitution, book club-style, and features a notable guest.

“We will take a look at the genius, and the many, many flaws of the Constitution,” Joh said on the first episode, which began streaming July 26. It explores the preamble to the Constitution and features Pulitzer Prize-winning New York Times investigative journalist Nikole Hannah-Jones (The 1619 Project).

The second half of each Invisible Breakdown podcast episode will feature a new installment of What Trump Can Teach Us About Con Law, the long-running Joh-Mars podcast that explores topical constitutional issues related to current events.

Professor Joh's scholarship focuses on criminal law and procedure, with a special emphasis on the police use of new technologies. She is the recipient of King Hall’s 2017 Distinguished Teaching Award.
