School of Law Observes ABA Mental Health Week

In conjunction with the King Hall Wellness Initiative, UC Davis School of Law is observing ABA Mental Health Week from March 28 through April 1, 2016.

The Wellness Initiative is a series of programs designed to help students find a proper balance that enables them to succeed academically, personally, and professionally. The initiative includes events such as presentations on destigmatizing mental health issues and managing stress, as well as sessions with therapy dogs. Additionally, the School of Law has announced that a full-time, on-site psychologist will be made available to meet with students beginning in the Fall 2016 semester.

The American Bar Association Law Student Division has partnered with Screening for Mental Health and the Dave Nee Foundation to raise awareness for Law Student Mental Health Day on March 28, 2016. Students are encouraged to visit the ABA Law Students page to take a fast, free screening. The screening will be available online for two weeks.
