Sylvia Tsai '16 Featured as 2014 Dan Bradley Fellow
Sylvia Tsai '16, the Legal Aid Association of California's 2014 Dan Bradley Fellow, is the subject of a profile on the LAAC website. The Dan Bradley Fellowship offers law students the opportunity to pursue a legal services project working with rural organizations or issues. Tsai worked with Legal Services of Northern California on the Foreclosure Prevention Advocacy Project.
"Besides client intake, I write demand letters and work on legal research on issues related to foreclosure, social security income garnishment, as well as laws related to breach of contract civil claims," Tsai states. "I also expect to be preparing court pleadings and develop ‘Know Your Rights' legal education workshops on foreclosure issues and related consumer debt issues. The workshops will target communities that have the least access to legal services, including people who are low-income, geographically isolated, limited-English proficient, elderly or disabled."
