Varun Aery '16 Publishes in Indonesian Journal of International & Comparative Law

Varun Aery '16, who published three manuscripts in prestigious legal journals in the field of international human rights law as a King Hall student and served as a fellow of the California International Law Center, recently published a new article in The Indonesian Journal of International & Comparative Law.  Aery's article, "Born into Bondage: Enforcing the Human Rights of India's Manual Scavengers," identifies and analyzes India's specific treaty obligations to eradicate the use of manual scavengers to dispose of waste from dry latrines and identifies means of holding government officials accountable. Aery is now enrolled in the LL.M. program at the University of Michigan School of Law.
