A Nail-biter of an Aggie Men's Basketball Game

On Dec. 1, I attended an exciting UC Davis men's basketball game at the Pavilion on campus with UC Davis School of Law alum Bill Mantle '74. Earlier this season, the team had knocked off UC Berkeley at Berkeley, the first time ever!  The Aggies had just returned from a three-game tournament in Milwaukee and had an enthusiastic home crowd behind them as they faced off against the University of Pacific Tigers. 

Bill is an avid Aggies sports fan and enjoyed a courtside view. Sitting nearby was Lindsay Chuang  from our admissions office, with her daughter.

We had an enjoyable halftime visit from Rocko DeLuca, UC Davis Director of Athletics. He warned us that it would be a tight game and it sure was.

After a touch-and-go game, the Aggies ended up losing 74-72 in a valiant effort. Still, it was a wonderful evening.
