At HNBA Convention, Dean Johnson Discusses Hispanic/Latino Law Faculty and Deans
Dean Kevin R. Johnson participated in the opening plenary session, “Addressing the Alarming Shortage of Hispanic Law Faculty and Deans: Widening Pipelines, Increasing Representation, and Empowering our Community,” on Sept. 7 at the Hispanic National Bar Association national convention in Minneapolis.
Seattle University School of Law Dean and Professor of Law Anthony E. Varona moderated the discussion.
Johnson is part of an HNBA task force on Hispanic/Latino law faculty and deans.
Kevin R. Johnson is the law school’s dean, Mabie-Apallas Professor of Public Interest Law and professor of Chicana/o studies at UC Davis. He is an internationally recognized scholar in the fields of immigration law and policy, refugee law, and civil rights.
