Professor Lee Participates in Politico Roundtable on Financial Fraud and Cybercrime

Professor Peter Lee participated in a recent roundtable hosted by Politico on financial fraud and cybercrime. The roundtable gathered representatives from the technology industry, law enforcement, government, and academia to address the rise of technology-based scams and other cybercrime. Professor Lee spoke about the role of AI-based technologies in both facilitating fraud and detecting it, and the need to consider greater regulation to stem cybercrime.

Professor Lee Presents Papers at the University of Hong Kong and City University of Hong Kong

Professor Peter Lee recently presented two papers at faculty workshops in Hong Kong. At the University of Hong Kong Faculty of Law, he presented an article entitled “Synthetic Data and the Future of AI.” The article, which was recently published in the Cornell Law Review, explores the emergence of synthetic data used to train machine learning (ML) models and ways to enhance the development of such data.
