The American Society of International Law (ASIL) has sponsored a discussion of a new textbook by Gary Solis '71 and made the event available for viewing on the ASIL website.

Luis Alejo '01, currently serving as Watsonville's mayor pro tem, has secured the Democratic nomination for the California 28th District Assembly seat.

Professor Rick Frank spoke at the Continuing Legal Education International 18th Annual California Water Law conference on May 20 in San Francisco.

Darrell Steinberg '84, California Senate President Pro Tem, has been honored with the John F. Kennedy Profile in Courage Award.

Aida Macedo '11 has been awarded the 2010 Robert M. Takasugi Public Interest Fellowship.

Professor Rick Frank has published an essay on retiring Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens' record with regard to environmental law.  "Justice Stevens' Abiding Environmental Legacy" appeared in the May 18 editions of the Los Angeles and San Francisco Daily Journal. 

Shalyn Fluharty '09 has been named as a 2010 Equal Justice Works Fellow. 

Wayne A. '71 and Jacque A. Bartholomew, generous supporters of UC Davis School of Law and UC Davis, were honored with the Charlie Soderquist Award at the May 14 UC Davis Foundation Board meeting.

The Honorable Paul Igasaki '79 delivered an inspiring Commencement Address and Gabriel Zeldin '10 was presented with the Law School medal for academic achievement at the UC Davis School of Law Commencement Ceremony on May 14 at the Mondavi Center for the Performing Arts.
